Trace Heating

Many sites have fluid systems that if not protected during the winter will freeze and cause breakdown and damage. Thermal Design can design, supply and install a frost protection system that is fully insulated and clad to prevent such problems arising.

Insulation

Insulation provides energy savings to all fluid systems – either hot or cold. Each system can be analysed to consider the optimum energy saving available or the minimum thickness of insulation to prevent ice formation.

There are many variations available to suit different operational temperatures. From armaflex to mineral wood, ceramic fibre, phenolic foam and silicon coated glass cloth.

Cladding

Cladding provides a long protection for insulation and requires a high standard of manufacturing and fitting to prevent moisture ingress into the insulation.Cladding remains on view and can often be seen by customers’ clients and therefore must be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Thermal Design have developed a sheet metal fabrication workshop which employs specialist and fully qualified staff to deliver this to our customers. We work with a range of materials such as plastic coated steel, galvanized and plain steel, stucco and plain aluminium, PIB sheeting, aluzinc and bright class 'o' foil.

Insulated Jacketing

Many fluid systems contain within the pipework or on the vessels operating fittings such as flanges, pumps and valves that require a lot of maintenance. Thermal Design can produce a range of insulation jackets to fit in any shape or size that can be easily removed and refitted.

Thermography

With the design of each system being critical to ensure maximum performance Thermal Design offer a service to provide infrared photography detailing energy loss areas within the system and proof of achievement and quality once the system has been insulated and clad.
